Timeline

We are one of the largest and most active non-profit science societies in Pakistan with over 5,000 members and volunteers. Our mission is to promote scientific research culture in society through interactive and innovative hands-on science activities, projects, experiments, and science fairs. We focus on science popularization programs such as summer camps, exhibitions, Olympiads, science field trips, science clubs in schools, talent searches, and research and development.

The science club was inaugurated with the name Pakistan Science Club on August 8, 2008 at Korangi, Karachi.

  1. PSC Team Member Habab Idrees got top position in Intel national science fair and became delegation to represent Pakistan at Intel international science fair

2016.

  1. Pakistan Science Club displayed its various projects at IEEE Karachi Section exhibit 2016, pre-university student’s science and engineering exhibition on 23rd December.
  2. PSC became the proud partners of Pakistan Innovation Foundation for organizing Pakistan Innovation Forum 2016 on 26th November.
  3. The interesting and worth learning fun science and Hand-on Science activities were organized at Islamabad Model Girls College IMCG, f-6/2 Islamabad. More than 300 students attended the session.
  4. Science activity including Fun Science demonstrations and Tall tower Challenge were carried out in government Sammra boy’s school at Multan.
  5. For the first time in the history of Pakistan we Pakistan Science Club brought fun science activities in Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with All MPA’s
    The purpose was to initiate an idea about new curriculum and teaching methods for science. All MPA’s had so much fun and performed science activities by themselves.

  9. STEM activity including Fun Science demonstrations and Tall tower Challenge was carried out in government girls’ school at Clifton where 150 Students from grade 6th to 10th participated in it. MNA Dr. Arif Alvi, his wife Samina Alvi and MPA Khurram Shahzad also visited the School and appreciated the students.
  10. STEM activity has been carried out at TCF Railway Boys Secondary School where more than 300 students attended Fun Science Demonstration and more than 200 students of grade 6th to 8th made air powered vehicle by using simple material.

  21. Pakistan Science club organized Fun Science Activity session at The Publican School, Zaman School, Karachi where students of class 1-3 enjoyed some interesting and fascinating science tricks and learned the simple scientific phenomenon behind them.
  22. Out of three projects of Pakistan Science Club in National Science Fair 2016 two have been decorated with subject best category award.
  23. Fun science activities in Government girls and boys primary school Nazeer Pura Sialkot Near Head Marala. Various fun science experiments were performed in front of more than 200 kids.

  30. Pakistan Science Club successfully concluded the most thrilling water rocket challenge 2017. With the collaboration of ECO Science Foundation and The Dream world Resort Hotel & Golf Club on 21st January.

Some Key Accomplishments

  • Organize the 2017 National Science and Innovation Fair in collaboration with the ECO Science Foundation.
  • Conducted Pakistan’s Biggest Astronomy Telescope Workshop and Astro Night.
  • Organized the Biggest Water Rocket Challenge held in Karachi.
  • PSC was part of the Alif Ailaan Science and Math campaign and provided training and workshops to thousands of students and teachers all over Pakistan.
  • Represented Pakistan at the CAST World Conference on Science Literacy (WCSL) since 2018.
  • Pakistan Science Club is one of the top 20 finalists from all over the world in the Falling Walls engaging program.
  • Three members of the Pakistan Science Club have participated in the 34th China Adolescent Science and Technology Innovation Contest (CASTIC) in Macau, China. Team Pakistan won one silver and two bronze medals.
  • Represented Pakistan at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair held in the United States of America and secured the third position in the category.
  • Pakistan Science Club is the chapter ambassador of Technovation in Pakistan and has also selected finalists from Pakistan for the global AI challenge in the US.
  • Member of the International Federation of Inventors Associations (IFIA).
  • PSC has been organizing summer and winter camps since 2008. Despite the Challenges posed by the Covid -19 pandemic, PSC successfully organized one of the largest online science camps in Pakistan.
  • Recently, we organized a successful summer science camp in Islamabad. Almost 127 students were enrolled in the camp.
