Pakistan Science Club (PSC) made the nation proud at the 34th China Adolescents Science & Technology Innovation Contest (CASTIC), where all three of its young representatives won international awards. The team secured one Silver and two Bronze medals, showcasing Pakistani talent in cutting-edge science and technology. The competition was held in Macao, China from July 20–26, 2019, organized in collaboration with the ECO Science Foundation and the Pakistan Science Foundation. Under the mentorship of Abdul Rauf (Founder & CEO, PSC), these young innovators demonstrated excellence on a global stage.
About CASTIC
CASTIC is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious youth science fairs, with over 30 years of history. It is open to young scientists aged 12–20 and features ~500 Chinese finalists alongside ~200 international participants from 54+ countries, covering 13 major science categories.
From National Science Fair to Global Stage
To select Pakistan’s representatives, PSC partnered with the ECO Science Foundation to organize the National Science & Innovation Fair 2019 (NSIF19). After rigorous judging, three winners were chosen to travel to China, receiving mentorship from PSC’s leadership including Abdul Rauf and the senior science team.
