The Pakistan Science Club, in collaboration with Lincoln Corner Karachi, announced an exciting opportunity for young enthusiasts aged 12 to 18: The Monthly Maker Challenge. This initiative is designed to spark creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging way. Every month, we’ll throw out a new challenge or task for you to tackle. Your mission? To complete it within a set timeframe and present your creation to us at Lincoln Corner Karachi by the announced date. And the best part? It’s absolutely free of charge!
Why Participate in the Maker Challenge?
Pakistan Science Club wanted to develop healthy activities for children through this maker’s challenge we will be able to encourage children to dive into the world of invention and boost their creativity. Some of the outcomes of this challenge will be,

How to Join the Maker Challenge?
Step 1: Register
To start your journey, fill out the registration form provided by the Pakistan Science Club. Upon successful registration, you’ll receive a confirmation via WhatsApp.
Step 2: Join the Community
After registration participants will be added into the Maker Challenge WhatsApp group, where they will receive all updates and relevant information. Stay connected and engaged with the community.
Step 3: Onsite Challenges at Lincoln Corner Karachi
Challenge Announcement: The monthly challenge will be announced at Lincoln Corner Karachi, where the Pakistan Science Club team will also be available to answer any queries.
Challenge Period: You have almost a month to work on your project for the challenge. Each week, you can use the Lincoln Corner Makerspace for one day to help with your project. The Lincoln Corner team will let you know which day and time you can come in.
Submission and Presentation: The submission date will be communicated through the WhatsApp group. On the submission day, participants will present their projects at Lincoln Corner Karachi.

Can I take inspiration from the provided video or other sources?
Yes, participants can take inspiration from the video and other sources, but direct copying of ideas is not allowed. The challenge is about coming up with your own solutions.
Can I participate as an individual or do I need a team?
You can participate as an individual or as a team. If forming a team, make sure there are no more than 3 team members
What’s the submission deadline for each month’s challenge?
The submission deadline for each month’s challenge will be announced in WhatsApp group.
Who is responsible for providing materials?
Participants are responsible for providing their own materials for their projects. Lincoln Corner will supply a limited selection of stationery items.
Can students from cities other than Karachi participate?
No, students from other cities cannot participate, as this challenge is an onsite challenge.
Will the Pakistan Science Club (PSC) offer training or classes for MMC?
No, PSC does not offer classes for the monthly maker challenge. Team PSC will introduce the challenge, and participants will need to work on solving it independently. On the orientation day, Team PSC will be available to answer your queries.
Are parents allowed to attend the sessions?
Parents are not permitted to attend the sessions. However, if they wish, they may wait in the library’s waiting area.
Do participants have to solve problem on the same day?
No, there is no compulsion. If participants can solve it on the day we announce it, that’s great. If not, there will be no issue. They have almost a month to work on their project.
