Monthly Maker Challenge
Pakistan Science Club designed this monthly maker challenge which is free of cost anyone from ages 10 to 16 can participate in this challenge. Each month, we will present a new challenge to the PSC community to try out. These challenges encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through hands-on projects related to science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
Why Maker Challenge?
Pakistan Science Club wanted to develop healthy activities for children through this maker’s challenge we will be able to encourage children to dive into the world of invention and boost their creativity. Some of the outcomes of this challenge will be,

- Through these makers’ challenges, participants will get recognition and connect with the science-loving community.

How?
Firstly, participants are required to register themselves by filling out the registration form. Upon successful registration, they will receive a confirmation via WhatsApp or email. Subsequently, Team PSC will add them to the Maker Challenge WhatsApp group, where they will receive all updates and relevant information.
The Maker Challenge will be announced on the 10th of each month. We will present a specific problem and issue a challenge to the participants along with an idea of how to approach and solve the problem through a video. Participants are expected to come up with their own solutions and ideas, and they are allowed to take inspiration from our video or other sources.
To submit their entries, participants must provide a video and a document detailing their challenge solution through a Google form. The link to the Google form will be available on our website as well as in the Maker Challenge WhatsApp group. The deadline for submission is the 25th of the same month. By following these steps, participants can take part in the Maker Challenge and showcase their innovative ideas and problem-solving skills.
- The result will be given next month before the announcement of a new challenge

Do you need to register every month?
Yes, you need to register again for each month’s challenge. Participants will need to re-register for the following month’s challenge. For each month’s Maker Challenge, participants must complete the registration process anew.
What does the challenge involve?
Each month, a new challenge is announced. Participants have 15 days to solve it using their creativity and skills.
How can you stay updated?
Upon registration, you’ll be added to the challenge’s official WhatsApp group for updates.

Students aged 10 to 16 with an interest in science can participate.
How can I participate in the Monthly Maker Challenge?
To participate, you need to register on the Paksc website by filling out the registration form. Upon successful registration, you’ll receive a confirmation through WhatsApp. You’ll then be added to the Maker Challenge WhatsApp groups for updates. Additionally, we would like to inform you that upon confirmation, parents will be added to two WhatsApp groups. The first group is the primary Monthly Maker Challenge group, while the second group is specific to the current month. In the main group, participants for every month will be included, whereas the second group will only consist of those who have registered for the respective month.
When is the Maker Challenge announced?
The Maker Challenge is announced on the 10th of each month. A video presenting a specific problem and challenge will be shared, along with an approach to solving it.
Can I take inspiration from the provided video or other sources?
Yes, participants can take inspiration from the video and other sources, but direct copying of ideas is not allowed. The challenge is about coming up with your own solutions.
How do I submit my challenge solution?
To submit your entry, you need to provide a video and a solution document through a Google form. The link to the form will be available on the Paksc website and the Maker Challenge WhatsApp group. The submission deadline is the 25th of the same month.
What happens after I submit my entry?
The results will be announced before the next month’s challenge. The top three participants will receive rewards. All the other participants of the monthly Maker Challenge will receive an honorable mention.
What are the rewards for the top participants?
The top three positions will receive science kits from sciencestore. Pk. Or a gift from our sponsors. All the other participants who complete the challenge will receive an honorable mention.
Can I participate as an individual or do I need a team?
You can participate as an individual or as a team. If forming a team, make sure there are no more than 3 team members
What’s the submission deadline for each month’s challenge?
The submission deadline for each month’s challenge is the 25th of that month.
Who is responsible for providing materials?
Participants are responsible for providing materials for their projects. PSC will not provide materials.
Are there any certificates for the participants?
Yes, E-certificates will be provided to all participants who successfully complete the challenge.
Can students from other countries participate?
Yes, students from other countries are welcome to participate in the challenge. However, if an international participant ranks among the top 3, they will be responsible for covering the shipping charges for any associated prizes or gifts.
Will the Pakistan Science Club (PSC) offer training or classes?
No, PSC does not offer classes for the monthly maker challenge. Team PSC will introduce the challenge, and participants will need to independently work on solving it. A video will be shared, presenting a specific problem and challenge, along with an approach to its solution.
