Pakistan Science Club (PSC) in collaboration with ECO Science Foundation and National Skill University is organizing a physical STEM hands-on science camp in Islamabad. During this camp, students will be enabled to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) by understanding the core concepts and ideas, experiential learning through systematic science projects, and hands-on practical application.


Program Details

  1. Camp Duration: July 25 to July 29
  2. Time: Multiple time slots
    • 9:30 am to 11:00 am (30 seats) (Registration closed for this time slot)
    • 11:30 pm to 1:00 pm (30 seats)
    • 2:30 pm to 4:00 (30 seats)
    • 4:30 to 6:00 pm (30 seats)
  3. Days: Monday to Friday
  4. Age: Group: 8 to 14
  5. No of Projects: 4

  8. The last date of registration is July 18

Fee Structure

  • Camp Fee: The Program is free of cost and sponsored by the ECO Science Foundation PSC will only charge the project’s material cost.
  • Project Material cost = Rs.3,900

STEM Course Outline

Focus of the camp: Renewable Energy

  • What is it? Why is it important?
  • Different types
  • Value / importance
  • 1. Wind Energy Project 
    • In this hands-on project, kids will learn about renewable energy and converting wind energy into electrical energy by making a wind turbine.
  • 2. Solar Energy Project
    • In a fun-filled exciting project to explore solar energy, the kids will understand how they can use sunlight to power a car and drive a car on clean energy.

Camp Activities Include:

  • Astronomical Telescope
    • The telescope is always fascinating to kids. Kids will see the craters of the moon with their own telescopes. This hands-on project helps students to learn about the lens and its working with daily life applications.
  • . Water Rocket
    • A water rocket is one of the most fun and exciting hands-on science activities around. The main emphasis is on the understanding of a model rocket, its aerodynamic structure, and the concept of pressure, Bottle rockets are excellent devices for investigating “Newton’s Three Laws of Motion”

STEM Family Challenge

On the last day of camp, children with their parents participate in a thrilling and thought-provoking STEM family challenge that would not only help participants in testing their skills but also help them to learn about teamwork and communication.


Certification

A certificate of participation from the Pakistan Science Club will be awarded to participants (After camp completion)
