The activity develops the concept of load distribution through the effective design and structure of the bridge. A team of students will be provided with a packet of Popsicle sticks and hot glue to design and construct a bridge that demonstrates the basic understanding of structure making and the geometry involved in it.

Learning Outcomes

  • The activity addresses the basic concept of force and load distribution.
  • Scientific understanding, significance, and application of geometry and different shapes.
  • Describes how different materials are used based on their properties for specific uses.

Requirements

  • Mini No. of students: 15
  • Max No. of students: 30
  • Suitable for grade: +6
