Module 1: Foundation Stage (compulsory for 1 -8)

“Discovering Science Foundations through Hands-On Experiments”

The Foundation Stage is a 6-month program designed to introduce children to the basic building blocks of science. Its purpose is to strengthen core scientific skills so that in the future, students can easily engage with advanced STEM modules.

The program follows a learning-by-doing approach where every lesson begins with experiments and activities. Students first experience the phenomenon and then connect it to scientific concepts. This approach ensures that science is not just memorized, but understood, practiced, and enjoyed.

This program is compulsory for all students as it builds the foundation for future STEM learning.

Two Learning Groups

To ensure age-appropriate learning, students are divided into two groups:

  • Group 1: Ages 7 – 9 → simplified experiments with basic tools and models
  • Group 2: Ages 10–13 → advanced experiments, more precision, deeper discussion

Both groups explore the same topics but with activities and depth suited to their level.

Why It Matters

We believe that science cannot be understood without mastering its fundamental skills. Just as reading requires knowledge of the alphabet, exploring science requires a strong base in measurement, observation, and experimentation.

By completing this stage, students will be able to:

  • Understand the basic tools of science.
  • Perform hands-on experiments with confidence.
  • Connect scientific concepts to real-life experiences.
  • Develop a foundation for higher-level STEM learning.

🔹 Core Topics Covered

Students will explore six essential units of science through practical experiments:

  1. Length & Measurement
  2. Mass & Balance
  3. Volume & Capacity
  4. Time & Devices
  5. Electricity & Circuits
  6. Light & Optics
  7. Heat & Temperature

🎯 Learning Outcomes

  • By the end of the program, students will:
  • Establish a solid base for advanced modules in STEM.
  • Gain hands-on experience with basic scientific tools.
  • Build problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Recognize how science applies to everyday life.

Module 2: Core Science Concepts

Overview
This module builds upon the Foundation Stage and introduces students to the broader branches of science. It is divided into two learning groups based on age. Both groups explore the same science areas but with activities and depth designed according to their level.

Duration: Several sub-modules, each 6 months long

  • Age Groups: Split into two (Age 7–9 and 10–13)
  • Topics (Sub-Modules):
    • Life Science – exploring living organisms, plants, animals, and ecosystems
    • Earth Science – studying rocks, weather, environment, and natural resources
    • Space Science – understanding the universe, planets, and astronomy basics
    • Physical Science – concepts of matter, force, motion, and simple machines
    • Chemistry Basics – introduction to materials, states of matter, and reactions
    • Technology & Innovation – robotics, coding, artificial intelligence, and 3D printing

Learning Approach

  • Every concept begins with hands-on experiments and activities
  • Students connect their experiences with scientific theories
  • Both groups progress at their own pace, but all topics are covered within the 6-month module

Goal
By the end of this module, students will have a well-rounded understanding of the major branches of science and technology, preparing them for deeper exploration in advanced stages.
