What is Rubberband powered helicopter?
An exciting worth learning activity to teach children about energy, its types and conversion to different forms, in addition, it also explains the basic aerodynamic structure and its fundamental principles.
The activity relates how the rubber band’s elastic energy is converted into mechanical energy to drive a simple propelling mechanism and basic aerodynamic structure to make a helicopter by using household items.
What material and tools we need?
The project addresses the fundamentals of energy and its conversion in different forms. It describes the basics of aircraft structure and simple mechanics to make a helicopter. Also, it will make students understanding about the combination of simple machines and energy to perform a specific task.
