Technical Specification for Robot

  • The bot should fit in a box of 1ft x 1ft x 1ft (lxbxh) with all mechanisms fully executing motions. Length and width is measured to the extremities of the Robot, i.e. includes any overhanging bodywork, weaponry or protrusions. The external device used to control the bot is not included in the size constraint.

  • The weight limit for the Robot is 3 Kg.
  • Design and construct a remote, wired or mobile controlled bot capable of fighting a one on one tournament.
  • Remote control system from toys or available in market might be used.
  • The bot can only be powered electrically. Batteries must be sealed, immobilized-electrolyte types (such as Li-ion, NiCd, NiMH, Lipo or dry cells).
  • Working voltages must not exceed 15V DC (mean voltage) at any point of time.
  • The Robot must use some destructive weapon to knock down the opponent.
  • All robots must have emergency stop switch.
  • All pyrotechnics, explosives, corrosive, hazardous and flammable liquids, gases e.g. oil, petrol, acid, CNG, compressed hydrogen, electronic devices e.g. radio jamming, heat-guns and Tesla coils are not allowed.

Competition Rules.

  • The Robot will be measured, weighed and inspected before the competition and would be disqualified if found exceeding any limit.
  • All efforts must be made to protect battery terminals from a direct short and causing a battery fire, failure to do so will cause direct disqualification.

  • Maximum of two team members may enter the arena.
  • Participants are NOT allowed to touch their robots or enter the Fight Arena after start of War.
  • Each team must have their team/bot name clearly on the body of bot.
  • The robot must be placed on the defined point in the arena before start of fight.
  • The team can take timeout if robot got stuck in the arena, Maximum 1 timeout will be allowed during fight. Allowed timeout will be of 1 minute, team will be knockout if the fault is persistent after timeout.
  • After timeout, robots will continue fight from the Starting point.
  • Changing of microcontroller or reprogramming the robot is Not Allowed, A team may change the batteries and wheels of the robot if required.
  • The robot must not damage the arena or the team will be disqualified in doing so.
  • A robot will be declared immobile or disqualified if it won’t be able to display linear motion of at least one inch in a time period of 30 seconds.
  • A bot with one side of its drive train disable will not be counted as out if it can demonstrate some degree of controlled movement.
  • A robot is declared victorious if its opponent is immobilized or out of the arena.

  • Violation of any the above rules will lead to disqualification.
  • If you have a robot or weapon design that does not fit within the categories set forth in or any of the rule is ambiguous, please contact the event organizers.
