Wind Turbine


The activity addresses the fundamentals of renewable energy, its types, importance, uses and applications in various aspects of life. The making of wind turbine is an excellent hands-on practical example for the students to understand the conversion of renewable energy resources into other forms of energy such as mechanical, electrical etc. students will make their own mini wind turbine using simple household material like cardboard, disposable cups, paper tape etc.

 Learning outcomes according to national curriculum of general science

  •  Understanding about renewable energy sources, their importance, application and uses in industrial and commercial level.
  • Fundamental and basic concepts about how renewable energy can be converted into useable form by using simple phenomenon.
  • The workshop will also help the students to decipher the principles and laws involved in electricity generation and energy conversion from one form to another form.


  • Age: 7-12 years
  • of students: 30 (maximum)
  • Duration: 60 minutes
