Bridge Building

The activity develops the concept of load distribution through effective design and structure of the bridge. A team of students will be provided with a packet of Popsicle sticks and hot glue to design and construct the bridge that deciphers the basic understanding of structure making and the geometry involved in it.

 Learning outcomes according to national curriculum of general science

  •  The activity addresses the basic concept of force and load distribution.
  • Scientific understanding, significance and application of geometry and different shapes.
  • Describes how different materials are used based on its properties for specific use.

 Requirement

  •  Age: 7-12 years
  • of students: 30 (maximum)
  • Duration: 90 minutes
