Activated carbon is used in the battery to increase the efficiency of dry cells with less weight and low energy density.<\/p>\n<h3>Materials need to build Activated Carbon Battery cell<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Aluminum foil<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Activated_carbon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow external noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">activated carbon<\/a><\/li>\n<li>paper<\/li>\n<li>salt water<\/li>\n<li>conducting wire<\/li>\n<li>clip<\/li>\n<li>LED<\/li>\n<li>motor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Note:<\/strong> if you don't find <strong>activated carbon<\/strong> in store or any shop you can get from home water filtration plant shop <strong>activated carbon<\/strong> used in filters so you can get easily<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>Procedure<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"Activated Carbon Battery cell\" src=\"http:\/\/paksc.org\/pk\/images\/stories\/images\/Activated%20carbon%20electric%20cell%201.JPG\" alt=\"Activated Carbon Battery cell\" width=\"389\" height=\"356\" border=\"0\" \/><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Cut several pieces of aluminum foils in 10cm square.<\/li>\n<li>Wet paper with salt water and put on the aluminum foil.<\/li>\n<li>Put\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Activated_carbon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow external noreferrer\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">activated carbon<\/a>\u00a0put on the next foil.<\/li>\n<li>Again put the aluminium foil over it.<\/li>\n<li>Pile it up to the three sets.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The aluminum foil on the charcoal side is anode while\u00a0the other aluminum foil is cathode. Since the activated carbon is separated and it has bad contact. We need to push it downwards by the hand to generate electricity.<\/p>\n<h3>Science<\/h3>\n<p>Aluminum reacts with the salt water and releases the electron. The electron flows through the circuit and comes to charcoal. The electrons are absorbed by oxygen that was initially adsorbed at the surface by charcoal from the air. Here occurs oxidation and reduction.
