PSC Presents: A Stellar Night of Astronomy at Dream World Resort, Karachi

Pakistan Science Club, in collaboration with Dream World Resort, hosted an enthralling Astronomy Night on the 16th of February 2024 in Karachi. The event garnered significant attention and participation, with over 100 families attending to immerse themselves in the wonders of the cosmos.

The Astronomy Night commenced with an engaging telescope making workshop led by Mr. Abdul Rauf. Participants had the opportunity to learn the intricacies of constructing telescopes, gaining practical insights into the tools instrumental in exploring the night sky.

Following the workshop, attendees delved into a free observation session facilitated by Mr. Abdul Rauf, alongside Talha Moon Zia and their team. This session proved to be exceptionally informative, with discussions revolving around planets and stars. Attendees were captivated as they received valuable insights into celestial bodies.

Attendees were treated to an extraordinary experience as they gazed through telescopes to observe various celestial objects. From the serene glow of the moon to the majestic presence of Jupiter and its moons.

Feedback from attendees underscored the event’s success, with many expressing gratitude for the opportunity to engage with astronomy in such an immersive and educational manner. Families, in particular, lauded the event for its inclusivity and the chance it provided for both children and adults to explore the mysteries of the cosmos together.

Step into the world of science and fun at the Sukkur Youth STEM Learning Festival! From January 25 to 27, 2024, we had three amazing days filled with learning and excitement, thanks to the teamwork of the Thar Education Alliance, UNICEF Pakistan, UNICEF Reform Support Unit, SELD, and the Government of Sindh.

Imagine this: a buzzing crowd gathered, eager to explore. Leading the way was our CEO, Mr. Abdul Rauf, along with Muhammad Zubair and Wahab Shah Bukhari from the Pakistan Science Club (PSC). They put on a fantastic science show that was both educational and entertaining, keeping everyone hooked.

But it wasn’t just about watching – attendees got hands-on with science experiments that made learning fun. One highlight was using a telescope made right here in Pakistan by the talented folks at PSC to observe the sun. It showed how innovative we can be in our own backyard!

What made the festival truly special was how everyone got involved. From students to organizers like Mr. Partaab Shivani and Jawad Mirani, everyone pitched in to make it a success.

Pakistan Science Club is organizing a worth learning astronomy night in collaboration with the Dreamworld for families. The stargazing activity, explanation, and observation are completely free of cost, and if you want to attend a telescope-making workshop then you can register for it by paying workshop fee. The workshop is for families in which participants will learn to make their own telescope.
