A couple of lines on the importance of science, inadequacy of classroom teaching of science
Advancement in science and technology has played a central role in the economic strength and defense capability of the powerful nations of the world. Scientific knowledge has helped us understand health issues, discover cures to diseases, and save human life.
Learning science requires active exploration of ideas, through observation and experiments. What we learn in the classroom is good for building the base, we need to be more involved and conduct experiments, build small projects to understand and explain the fundamental concepts of science. This is where we need to work in a laboratory or workshop type environment, with proper guidance.
